David R. Wyble is co-founder and President of Gray Sky Imaging. He is also President of Avian Rochester, LLC, and part-time Staff Color Scientist at the Munsell Color Science Laboratory, at RIT. Avian Rochester provides color science consulting services for a broad range of applications, color measurement services, professional education modules, and camera calibration targets. During the 15 years he was full-time at RIT, he taught various color and imaging graduate and undergraduate classes, as well as performing independent research and providing research support for RIT students and faculty. Prior to RIT, he was in R&D at Xerox for 15 years. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from SUNY Brockport, M.S. in Color Science from RIT, and a Ph.D. in Color Science from Chiba University, Japan.

Roy S. Berns is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Gray Sky Imaging. He is also Professor Emeritus at Rochester Institute of Technology where for 35 years, he was the Richard S. Hunter Professor in Color Science, Appearance, and Technology. Berns was the second Director of the Munsell Color Science Laboratory. He developed the United States’ only graduate program in color science. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Textiles from the University of California at Davis and a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Berns is the author of the third and fourth editions of Billmeyer and Saltzman’s Principles of Color Technology and Color Science and the Visual Arts: A Guide for Conservators, Curators, and the Curious.
